Last July we moved to Moscow and bought a house that had been vacant for some time. While the house sat empty, the spiders & bugs moved in. On the outside of the house, the hornets also found a home underneath the front porch. A week after moving in, my four year old twins soon discovered we were not the only ones living in our new home. It seemed like they were screaming to me constantly to kill a bug or a spider. There were even areas of the house they wouldn’t go. Let’s just say they wanted to move back to our old house in Minneapolis. Then one day they were on the front porch and my son Jackson stuck his hand under and was stung multiple times. That was it for me! I called Palouse Empire Pest Control; they came out the next day. The man that came told Jackson he would get rid of all the spiders and bees and told him not to worry. Jackson felt so much better! For a while after that the twins would run real fast across the porch in an attempt to not get stung until they realized all the hornets were gone. THAT was a good day!!

We had ants in our house for several years and had tried home remedies and bags full of Diazinon without success. One day my husband stepped next to the toilet and the floor bowed under his feet. It didn’t take him long to pull up the toilet and discover the problem; a colony of carpenter ants had settled there and was eating away the floor under our seat. We tried ant spray but it didn’t do any good as they were everywhere in the house. Finally, we called PEPCI and Brad came to take a look. He sprayed the perimeter of our house and in a short time ants began to drop everywhere. Since we live in the woods, we have to have an annual treatment to keep the ants from returning, but it seems to be working. We were gone from our home for a month, when I got home my hallway Was covered with Carpenter Ants. There were so many of them I took my Vacuum and tried to get rid of them. THEY’RE GONE!! We had carpenter ants last summer along a retaining wall behind our home. I tried spraying them myself but that didn’t seem to help. In early July of 2008 we were fighting little black beetles in our entire basement. My wife would vacuum them upon Monday and then would do the trick again on Tuesday. We tried 3 or 4 different bug sprays, purchased at our local hardware store. That would kill a few and then I would spray again the next week.
